The University Health Network Medical Libraries recently launched a mobile application to help health care professionals find free resources to reference while on their mobile devices. The Director of the Medical Libraries reached out to my department for opportunities to improve the application.
The application direct users out to a series of websites. There is limited functionality, but plenty of information contained with application. The application needed to be able to surface this information is an easy a way as possible.
As part of a usability workshop for my Master’s degree, myself and 2 colleagues conducted a usability testing with four (4) participants and nine (9) scenarios.
- Developed test scenarios
- Moderated and observed usability tests
- Wrote the concerns and recommendations section of the final report
